Hoover, C. Martin
Martin Hoover, age 82, a resident of Northland Lodge, 2500 Garfield St., Two Rivers, died peacefully Friday morning, February 20, 2015 at his residence after a brief illness.
Martin was born July 11, 1932 in Hillsboro, Oregon, son of the late Oley and Wilma (Bateman) Hoover. He was retired from Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) following over 20 years of service. Martin married Gladys Bachelder on Sept. 17, 1999, and she preceded him in death on January 26, 2012. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Two Rivers; and former member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, and the Disabled American Veterans.
Martin is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Joe and Nancy Hoover of Manitowoc; two grandchildren, Kathryn and Andrew Hoover; two step daughters: Deborah Blanco of Kingman, AZ, and Bernadette Bachelder of Chicago; one sister-in-law, Myrtle Hoover of Medford, Oregon; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, Gladys, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Hoover; one brother, Jay Hoover; and a sister, Priscilla (Bud) Lindsay.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1921 Adams St., Two Rivers. Rev. Kay Richter will officiate at the memorial service, with burial of his cremated remains to take place at a later date in Gales Creek Cemetery, Gales Creek, Oregon.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Calvary Lutheran Church, Tuesday evening from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church.

The Hoover family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Northland Lodge and to Southern Care Hospice caregivers for the exceptional care given to Martin; also to the staff of Aurora Medical Center for the compassionate care during his illness.
