ELMER E. BAUGHER, JR. VALPARAISO, IN Elmer E. "Spud" Baugher, Jr., 88 of Valparaiso passed away Friday, February 20, 2015. He was born April 11, 1926 in Huntington, IN, son of the late Elmer E. and Bernice (Weaver) Baugher, Sr. Elmer was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and worked for 39 years as a general supervisor at McGill Manufacturing, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Valparaiso. On December 31, 1946 in Valparaiso, Elmer married Betty L. Roberts who survives along with their daughters, Linda (Floyd) Hayhurst and Karen (James) Neff, both of Valparaiso; five grandchildren: Amy (Adam) Cochran, Stacey (Joe) Wiszowaty, Scott (Ann) Hayhurst, Todd Neff, and Ryan (Liz) Neff; and six great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by seven siblings. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso with burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Sorry to hear of Elmer's passing. He was a good supervisor and I enjoyed working with him. He will be missed.

I am very sorry for Elmers passing. We worked side by side as supervisors at McGills for many years. He was a great mentor for me and many others.
