Anne Alayne Lambert passed away Friday February 20, 2015, from complications arising from the flu.
She was born September 18, 1961, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Karel Pinckney Lambert and Delbert Earl Lambert.
Anne is a loved, loving, and beloved soul. She invested her life in helping all of God's creations. Her love of caring for animals was exceeded only by her love for family and friends. Often it is said "She'd give you the shirt off her back if it would help!" There are three instances a brother of hers can attest where Anne did exactly that. She was generous to charity, especially where her anonymity could be maintained.
Anne sought to further her understanding of the Gospel, and her relationship with God, her entire life. Her library will be enjoyed by those Anne left behind for years to come. She found particular comfort in late-night discussions with her brothers, which led to many terrific insights, and many late arrivals at work. "A very worthy trade," she said.
Anne leaves behind her father, Delbert Earl Lambert, her brother, Kevin D. Lambert, her brother, Ted C. Lambert. She is an Aunt to three nieces and one nephew. She helped raise them in a role as close to a 2nd Mom as is it is possible for someone to be. An accomplished chef and baker, Anne would "take requests" for birthday cakes, producing marvels including many fabled princesses, the game character 'Link,' and numerous reptiles. Sometimes these masterpieces would consume 12-14 hours of work that Anne gladly performed. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.
We will miss Anne dearly, and without measure. Knowledge of the Gospel propounds that knowing Jesus Christ as best we can helps remove death's sting. We ask for your prayers that Anne moves to her next estate with the love, kindness, mercy, forbearance, and compassion she showed everyone during the short time she was here.
There will be an opportunity to greet the family at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, with funeral services to begin at 11:00 a.m. Services will be held at Brookshire Ward, 3487 South 1300 East. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated (to her father, Del Lambert).
The internment of her body will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah, immediately following.

For several years I kept Anne's memorial card as the bookmark for the book by my bed. So I saw Anne's dear face each night when I opened that book. It was just crushing to lose her

Jeanett and I loved visiting with Anne. She was always so easy to talk with and we just seemed to pick up where we left off. She was devoted to her family and had a special bond with one niece when reading Harry Potter books. She was dedicated to the care of her treasured ferrets and I learned much more about these darling creatures. Anne was a sweet and loving daughter and I would often talk with Del while waiting for Anne to come to the phone. He would always end our conversation with "well, here's our darling Anne." She left us all too soon and I'll miss her.

Linda W and I had so many good visits with Anne in the few years we were her Visiting Teachers. We used to love to pet her animals and chat about the latest. She was always a joy. This is shocking news, and I'm sorry to her family for this tender loss. I can only imagine the joy she was to always have around, we sure loved our visits with her. What a beautiful tribute and picture and may she be uplifted with the embrace of her mother. I will miss you.
