Alan S. Ellis

70, of McCordsville, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Ft Myers, FL. Alan was born February 15, 1944 In Philadelphia, PA to the late Myron and Freeda Ellis. He was a graduate of Wayne State University and served in the US Army.

Alan is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, David S. (wife, Elaine) Ellis, Michael S. Ellis and Jessica L. Ellis-Calvert; grandchildren, Taylor R. Calvert and Mason S. Ellis; brothers, Raymond and Robert Ellis. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Ellis.

Alan was a data engineer for Sprint Nextel for over 8 years, retiring in 2008.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14 at E. 91st Street Christian Church, where family and friends are invited to gather from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rotary International One Rotary Center 1560 Sherman Ave. Evanston, IL 60201-3698. To sign the online guest register, please visit flannerbuchanan.com. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel.
