MARVIN PERDUE
WEST PORTSMOUTH—Marvin Wayne Perdue Sr., 70, of West Portsmouth, died Monday March 2, 2015 at SOMC Hospice. He was born July 23, 1944 in Chesapeake, West Virginia to the late Irlan Earl and Sallie Marie Moss Perdue. He was a retired Boiler Maker and a member of Boiler Makers Local #1 of Chicago, Il. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Georgene Perdue, 2 brothers; Boogie and James Earl Perdue and a sister Loraine Perdue.
Marvin is survived by a son, Marvin "PJ" Perdue Jr. of West Portsmouth; 3 daughters, Heather (Gary) Scaff of McDermott, Kathy Perdue and Deborah Howard both of West Portsmouth; a special nephew in residence, Ian Harrison; 7 grandchildren, Kassy (Anthony) Leveque, Kasey Perdue, Mary Howard, Amy Howard, Preston Howard, Emily Scaff and Brooklyn Perdue; 2 great grandchildren, Xander and Georgie Leveque; 4 brothers, Larry (Jessie) Perdue of Gloster, VA, Mike Perdue of West Portsmouth, Joe Perdue of West Virginia and Jesse (Debby) Perdue of Lickcreek, WV.; 2 sisters, Sissie (Robert) Roberts and Emma Jane (Calvin) Roberts all of Alkol, WV.; sister in law, Rita Perdue and brother in law, Shorty Rotenberry; along with several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday March 9, 2015 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
