Not sure what to say?

I thought she was wonderful and gave so much encouragement in my career as a teacher. We also had such a wonderful time when we all went to Europe.....

I didn't realize that this page existed. What very special thoughts and expressions of love for my mom were discovered today. Thank you all for writing a note. Even after six months have passed, it means a great deal to read the difference my mom made in your lives. Thank you.

Mrs Triem was my sister's 8th grade English teacher. She always had a love for her students as evidenced one day when a very tired student fell asleep in class. Rather than wake him or embarrass him, she told the class that he clearly needed his rest, so they all quietly left the room and held the rest of class outside while he slept. She also always had a smile for any student, and blessed many young lives with her love and enthusiasm for teaching.

Nu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma had extraordinary teachers who welcomed me 25 years ago to Tucson. Marion was one of these inspirational women. To list all her activities, even when ill, would take pages. She will never be forgotten.

My condolences to Marion's family and friends.
Marion was a lovely lady...and such a nice friend...for many years. It was a joy to serve with Marion on many committees at Catalina UMC. She was such an inspiration and is greatly missed. 'For God so loved the world, that he game his only Son...'truly she is with him now.

Marion Triem was always so loved and respected at Catalina United Methodist Church. She was always so willing to serve and participate, always pleasant to speak to, and always a "grand lady". She was a friend to my mother for many years at church, and I also remember her as being my favorite Sunday School teacher many many years ago. She will be missed. Rest in peace Marion.

Prayers and condolences to the family of a wonderful woman. Mrs Triem was my 8th grade English teacher at CDO Jr High; I was so grateful for the care and concern she showed her students. Her passion for teaching was obvious and she provided love and stability to our crazy teenage years in the 1970s. Learning to type on electric typewriters, spelling tests, watching a slideshow of her European vacation, creating the yearbook and reading aloud in class were aspects of her teaching gifts. Imagine my delight in reconnecting via mail in the 2000s to find that "Mrs Triem" was still the same: energetic, active, and always with a smile on her face. She will truly be missed by those of us who learned from the very best teacher. Rest in peace Mrs Triem.

Marion Triem was an outstanding teacher who helped set a learning foundation for me since those days at Cross Junior High typing our English assignments on the stiff keys of the manual typewriters. Between she and Eleanor Bloom I left with keyboarding skills and writing skills that led to a creative writing degree, years teaching, and ultimately pursuing a doctorate and spending my career in education. She had a unique blend of empathy and toughness and a heart so full of kindness! In her retirement she continued to work with Amphi in a variety of capacities and always took a little time to connect. Thank-you, Marion Triem, for your lifelong commitment to education!

I can't help but think that "Mrs Triem" (as I will always think of her even though I am nearly 50) is an integral reason why gardening and enjoying the outdoors is such an important and enjoyable part of my life today. She is truly an example of life well lived. My thoughts go out to her family and many friends.

Mrs. Triem was a wonderful woman and a fine teacher who, among other things, coached me all the way to the National Spelling Bee. I am glad I got to thank her in her later years. I wish all teachers had the dedication to their students that she showed to hers. Her legacy endures in her former students, and I am grateful.
