HARDAWAY, Delia Marie
Delia Marie Hardaway, age 55, passed away on March 3rd, 2015 in Austin, Texas.
Delia was born February 24th, 1960 in Houston, Texas to the late James Thomas Dickerson and Billie Jean Burnet.
She is survived by her sons, Christopher and Matthew Nelson; their spouses Christina and Gina Nelson. She is also survived by siblings, Harold Dickerson of Osceola, Missouri, Patricia Gilbert of Houston, Texas, Dennis Dickerson of Huntsville, Texas and Carrie Carr of Liberty Hill, Texas. She will be greatly missed by her six grandchildren, Michael, Juliette, Samuel, Jacob, Grace and Gabriel Nelson and great niece Sadee Dickerson.
Delia had the pleasure of meeting Barry Hardaway while working for Costco Wholesale. They were married on April 25th, 2009 in Tyler, Texas. Barry and Delia enjoyed spending their time camping, hiking, and taking their dog Scooter on long walks.
Delia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and coworker. Her contagious laughter and warm smile will be greatly missed by all who knew her and enjoyed her company.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12th, 2015 at the Vintage Villas Hotel located at 4200 Eck Lane in Austin, Texas 78734 in the Travis Room.
Cremation services are being provided by Heart of Texas Cremation & Burial Service. The interment of her ashes will occur at a later date in a private setting.
In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to The Susan G. Komen Foundation. A fundraiser has been created in Delia's memory.
