Dale Clark Conrad

On March 21, 2015 Dale C. Conrad passed away peacefully at his home in Emmett. Id.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Emmett Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
He was born January 31, 1945 in Emmett, to Walter and Irene Conrad. He graduated from Emmett High School and later served in the United States Army. During that time he married Anita Swander. They had two children, Scott and Patti. In 1979 he and Cheryl were married. They raised their four children in Emmett and enjoyed their time traveling, fishing, racing horses and dog agility.
Dale worked about 30 years for Boise Cascade and then spent 5 years working for Heinz. He retired at the age of 65 and spent his time fishing and camping and playing with his dog Hope.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; two children and two step children, Scott Conrad and his wife Jennifer who live in Boise, Patti Conrad Elzer and her husband Danny who live in Gilbert, Az, Keith Hite and his wife Jewel who reside in Kamiah, Idaho and Steven Hite and Tisha of Macon, Mo. Dale has 9 grandchildren.
Dale was a gentle man who lived his life doing the things he loved, making people laugh, teaching his children to fish, hunt, love animals and their families.
He will be missed by all of us.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pet Adoption League (PAL) of Emmett.
Dale would like everyone to know that he has gone fishing.

I shared many weekends fishing and beer drinking with Dale, he always had a story or two to tell. I am sure he is on the best fishing trip now. So sorry for your loss Cheryl and family.

Sorry to hear of Dale's passing. Went to high school and worked at the mill with Dale and I always thought of him as a darn good friend. Though I hadn't seen Dale for thirty years, I have never forgotten him. Rest in peace.
