Kathy Davis Stittsworth
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Kathy Davis Stittsworth, 56, of Springfield, died at 5:40 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center.
Kathy was born Nov. 8, 1958, in Springfield, the daughter of Kenneth Wayne and Lois Ruth Suckow Davis.
Kathy was a 1976 graduate of Springfield High School. She received an A.A.S. in Nursing from Lincoln Land Community College and an associate's degree from Robert Morris University. Kathy worked at Memorial Medical Center, St. John's Hospital, and Doctor's Hospital as an ICU nurse and later worked as a dialysis nurse.
Kathy was a member of the Springfield Arts and Crafts Club, and a former volunteer for Animal Protective League, Junior League of Springfield and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum. She enjoyed jewelry, craft making, antiques, vintage items, and shopping. She had a great love for dogs and animals and watching the show, "Supernatural."
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by one daughter, Abigail (husband, Kevin) Davis Cline of Springfield; one brother, Mark (wife, Pamela) Davis of Galesburg; one sister, Jennie (husband, Eric) Davis Moy of Indianapolis, Ind.; one aunt, Donna (husband, Richard) Davis of Bella Vista, Ark.; faithful companion, Little Bit; granddog, Nora; two nieces; four nephews; and several cousins.
Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
Memorial Ceremony: 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, with the Rev. Hannah Dreitcer officiating.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home.
Private family burial will be held.
