Joyce Russell

Joyce H. Russell, age 72, of Kingston, went home to be with her Lord Monday, March 23, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was born April 15, 1942 and has been a resident of Roane County since 2005, moving here from Florida after retiring as an office manager and secretary for a medical facility. She was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she was very active, serving on various committees as long as her health permitted. Joyce loved feeding and caring for animals and also enjoyed being in the Red Hat Society. Preceded in death by her parents, William and Alveria Geiger Edwards.
Survivors: loving husband of 35 years J. L. Russell of Kingston; son Greg Dyer and wife, Karla of Waynesville, OH; daughter Stephanie Mitchum and husband, Jeff of Lenoir City; grandchildren Brooke and Alex Dyer, Jessica and Jenna Mitchum, Lou, Sun and Sue Yee; sister Judy Krakos and husband, Bill of St. Louis; brother-in-law Jerry Russell and wife, Charlotte of Kingston; special friend Barbara Andrews of Crystal River, FL; several extended family members and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Shiloh Baptist Church with funeral service following at 7:00 pm, in the church sanctuary with Rev. Adrian Jones officiating. Graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Friday at Eleazer Cemetery in Tellico Plains. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, 4242 Decatur Hwy., Kingston, TN 37763. Online register book can be signed at www.FrakerFuneralHome.net. Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of all the arrangements.
