December 15, 1947 - March 23, 2015
Mr. Juan Jose Lopez, Sr. passed away peacefully to be with our Lord, March 23, 2015, surrounded by loved ones holding his hands. Juan Jose was born on December 15, 1947, in the beautiful little town of San Buenaventura, Coahuila, MX. He was the son of Luis and Santos Lopez. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Isidro.
Juan Jose will be remembered as a wonderful husband, amazing father, loving grandfather and good friend. He believed that nothing was above taking care of family, and devoted his life to doing that through his relentless work ethic and prayer. He was a master carpenter, an art form that brought together his education, skill, creativity, sweat and passion. His art is scattered across Mexico and the US, with his most precious work within the homes of his grandchildren. He taught life lessons to his children with few words that spoke so loudly and that will now be carried forward through the lives of his family. He allowed us to stand on his shoulders so we can reach higher and go further. His legacy will be one of love, family, proud work and faith.
Juan Jose is survived by his wife, Maria Rosa; son, Juan Jose Jr. and wife, Araceli; son Arturo and wife, Angelica; daughter, Eleanor; daughter Ann Marie and husband, Robert; ex-wife, Mary Helen; brothers, Luis, Jesus, Armando and Miguel; sisters, Marta and Maria; grandchildren, Lily, Daniel, Helena, Matthew, Caleb, Jose Luis, Cynthia, Deborah, Joshua, Sarah, John and Kimberly; great grandchildren, Fabian, Miguel, Julian, Ezekiel and Julissa.
