His honesty and integrity were traits that are rare in today's world.

Shirley and Family:

It is with the greatest regret I am now only learning of Jerry's passing on Sunday the 29th. My only excuse is that I was out of the country for an entire week and very backed up on reading my newspapers. I guess scanning the back newspapers as I did, I missed the obituary. For this I am very sorry, and wish I had known as I would have definitely liked to have expressed my condolences in person. I can only imagine how much Jerry will be missed by you and your family. Even though I have an extended family, sometimes I go days without seeing anyone, and then the circumstance of someone thinking to mention it to me. It just slipped through the information cracks, and for this I am very sorry. Please let me know if there is anything I can do with these very sad circumstances to be of service or to be of help. You very well know I have been close to the "Honeycutt" family since I was old enough to talk, and have so many, many wonderful memories. I did not know Jerry that well, but felt I did because of the proximate relationship with the Honeycutts. As always, my deepest sympathy and prayers. Mike Tudor

So sorry for your loss, I'm really going to miss talking to Jerry. He was always so nice to talk to, since we both started around the same time at Cardinal I think made us have a special kind of connection. I know he always said he enjoyed getting my Xmas cards of my family, especially my kids. He's definitely going to be missed for his kind words and enjoyable personality. Prayers to you all

I worked with Jerry at Northeast Division of the Dallas Police Department. One good cop, he could calm the worse of disturbances and never raise his voice. I pray Jerry's family and friends can find comfort and peace during this time of sorrow and sadness in the blessings of our Lord.
