Josephine D. Green NJ Transit employee, Deborah volunteer, grandmother, 82 Josephine D. Green, 82, of Toms River, N.J., passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Community Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave. in Edison, N.J. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Cremation will be private. Born in Irvington, N.J., Mrs. Green resided there most of her life until moving to Toms River seven years ago. She was employed by New Jersey Transit in the employee benefits department. She was a breast cancer survivor, and gave back through volunteer work with Deborah Heart and Lung Center. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond Green, in 1971, as well as her siblings, Vito, Nicholas, Raphael, Pauline and Frances. Surviving are her son and daughter in-law, James and Claudine Green of Bloomfield, N.J.; her daughter, JoAnn M. Green of Toms River; granddaughters, Natasha and Gabrielle, as well as many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen, 785 Springfield Ave., Summit, N.J. 07901, or Komen.org.
