THIBAUDEAU, Alice Evelyn (Hughes) Alice Evelyn Thibaudeau passed away suddenly but peacefully on April 3, 2015 in Prince George, BC. Alice was predeceased by her beloved husband, Mark, in November 1997 and by her sister. She is lovingly remembered and will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by daughters, Mary Waddington and Jane (Russ) Braathen. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and their families in Alberta, Ontario, the UK and the USA. Alice Evelyn was born in Vancouver on November 17, 1919. She met her future husband, Mark Thibaudeau, in Vancouver in 1940 and they were married February 2, 1946. The family moved to Prince George in July 1957. Family and friends were very important to Alice. She always supported her husband and her daughters' activities. She was generous in spirit and strong in determination. Alice had varied interests and a wide circle of friends. She liked to read and do crosswords. Over the years her excellent organizational skills were put to use in many ways including from 1966 - 1986, doing the administrative work for the Consultative Cancer Clinic. She had friends from curling days and years of golfing, from bridge groups and singing in the Knox choir, from the PEO sisterhood and the Prince George Chateau. The last 4 1/2 months of recurring illness were hard for Alice as she fought to recover and regain strength to return to the Prince George Chateau. That was not to be; she was discharged from UHNBC on March 31, 2015 and moved to Two Rivers Seniors Lodge. The family has many people to thank for their care, encouragement and support of Alice since November, 2014. We would like to thank the family doctors, Nurse Next Door, and at UHNBC, EVERYONE in Emergency, IMU - C Pod and Rehab. We are happy that Alice was able to move to Two Rivers to an atmosphere of warmth, good food and new friends to visit. We are very grateful to Anne at Rotary Hospice House for her help in Alice's peaceful passing and to Rob Smith, Minister, Knox United Church, for being there for all of us. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Knox United Church. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, BC and Yukon Division, the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Prince George Hospice Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. A long and happy life, well lived and full of purpose.

I remember your Mom driving us to school on those -40 Winter mornings. She was always so kind to us and her passing leaves a big hole. Remember those we love don't go away. They walk beside us everyday.
