VINCENT – Funeral services for Emma Lois Millender, 87, formerly of Vincent, will take place at Kilgroe Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m. Visitation will occur Tuesday from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home, and internment will be in Vincent City Cemetery. Kilgroe Funeral Home – Pell City, at 2219 2nd Avenue North, will direct the service.
Ms. Millender was a devoted Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a "great" cook. She attended church whenever two or more were gathered.
Ms. Millender was preceded in death by her husband William B. Millender; son, Gary Millender; and daughter, Brenda Ann Millender.
She is survived by her sons, Troy David and Benny Phillip Millender; daughters Sherry Millender and Kimberly Vandiver; brother, Joe Hethcox; Sisters, Linda Pardue, Shelia Mooney and Tweet Bearden; grandchildren, William Scottie Millender, Memory Hill, Emily Millender, Matthew Millender, Joshua Phillip Millender, Savannah Morris, Skyler Vandiver, Haley Vandiver and Hayden Vandiver; nine great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

Tiny and Memory, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. I am sorry for your loss. Although, I never met your beautiful Mom, I feel like I know her through your pictures, stories and from her crafts. Much love and hugs.
