It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a beloved husband, dearest father and grandfather on April 7, 2015 at Lions Gate Hospital, in North Vancouver, British Columbia. George worked in the Burrard Dry dock and Allied Shipyards as an engine fitter for 30 years. He was an avid sports fisherman, loved camping, gardening and taking walks with his dog Star. He is survived by his wife Helena, sister Lea (Herman) Tabak, daughter Ludmila, son-in-law Michael, and grandsons Harley and Nicolas Francik. The family will hold a Service of Remembrance at the Boal Chapel (1505 Lillooet Rd., North Vancouver) May 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions in his name can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
