Maus, John W.
John W. Maus, age 86, of Rudolph, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. John Grohs will officiate. Burial will be at St. Philip's Cemetery in Rudolph. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the church. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is assisting the family.
John was born on August 5, 1928 in Green Bay to Sylvester and Margaret (Nockerts) Maus. He married Ruth Weeks on June 26, 1948. He was employed by Lucas Implement as a mechanic supervisor until his retirement in 1990.
John was a handy man and a jack of all trades. He loved to travel, taking trips up north fishing, Alabama, "Out West" and on cruise ships. John loved to play dominoes with his friends at the park. John was a jokester who was always there to lend a hand to his family and friends. John enjoyed his extensive toy tractor collection.
John is survived by his long time companion Rose Uher, children: William (Donna) Maus and Nancy (John) Holstein; grandchildren: Amy (Dave Cattanach) Sjomeling, Wendy (Blake) Clary, Karie Maus, Holly Maus, Amanda (Paul) Tranel, Scott (Melissa) Holstein and Jason Holstein; great- grandchildren: Brock Sjomeling, Billie (Dan) Abbott, Brady Sjomeling, Quinton, Timothy, Griffin and Rhett Tranel, Megan and Traiden Clary, Trenton and Kayla Holstein; brothers: Ted (Irene) Maus, Roger (Marilyn) Maus and Roy Maus, sisters: Betty (Don) Mogenson, Shirley (Russell) Clauss, Ruth (Ken) Haferman, Dorothy Jahnke, Judy (Mike) Thiex , and Janet Tofte, and sister-in-law Margaret.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth Maus (2000), sisters Karen and Bernice, brothers Harold, Dick, Rob and Ronnie, sister-in-law Pat and brother-in-law David.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Our deepest sympathy to the family and to my Aunt Rose. We loved to play dominos with him. He would win a lot....He was a great friend an a great man.
