Deen Lemoine Nichols
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Deen Lemoine Nichols will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Deville, with Father Paul Kunnumpuram officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
The family requests that visitation be observed at the funeral home, Friday, April 17, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 p.m.
Deen Nichols, 86, was called home to heaven on Thursday, April 16, 2015 surrounded by her family.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is gone but will forever be in our hearts. Deen loved her church, family and friends. She was a long-time member of St. Rita Catholic Church and was active in the Catholic Daughters, Court Bishop Desmond # 1459 for 36 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mattie Pilcher Lemoine; sister, Melba Basco and a brother, Joe M. Lemoine.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 65 years, Ralph Nichols; children, Diane Nichols Paul and husband, Terral, Debbie Nichols Word and husband, Tom, Ellen Nichols Doiron and husband, Pat; grandchildren, Jill Tipton and husband, Shawn, Jeff Bonial and wife, Pam, Jennifer Huntsberry and husband, Stuart, Sara Craig and husband, Corey, Derek Doiron and wife, Megan, Stacey Schwab, Brandi Word; step granddaughter, Shelley Dauzat and husband, Jason; great grandchildren, Shelbi Tipton, Piper Tipton, Layne Berryman and wife, Heather, Dustin Bonial, Emily Bonial, Hunter Doiron, Cody Baugus, Emma Huntsberry, Paisley Huntsberry, Bailee Craig, Brody Craig, Ryan Schwab, Dylan Schwab, Maddie Schwab, Ian Schwab and Cole Dauzat; great great-grandchildren, Zoey Tipton-Spurlin, Bentley Bonial and McKenzie Berryman making her presence to us in July.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Jeff Bonial, Dustin Bonial, Layne Berryman, Derek Doiron, Hunter Doiron, Corey Craig and Stuart Huntsberry. Honorary pallbearers will include Terrell Paul, Tom Word and Pat Doiron.
The family would like to express a "Special Thank You" to St. Joseph's Hospice.

All of my childhood memories include mawmaw Deen and pawpaw Ralph. She will be greatly missed and loved by so many. I hate that I couldn't see you but I know you will be our guardian angel and the heavens are lucky to have gained an amazing angel like you. We all love you!!
