CYNTHIA "CINDY" PENNEY COOPER Mrs. Cynthia "Cindy" Penney Cooper died peacefully in Charlotte, North Carolina, on April 20, 2015, at the age of 63. Born May 21, 1951, in DeQueen, Ark., she lived in Texas, Missouri, California, Washington, and Kansas before settling in Charlotte. She was a graduate of Evergreen State College in Vancouver, Wash., and Lewis & Clark College School of Law in Portland, Ore. Cindy leaves behind a loving husband of 40 years Michael Cooper; daughter, Meredith Cooper of Greensboro, NC; brother, Michael "Bud" Penney and his wife Diana Penney of Lee's Summit, Mo.; numerous nieces, nephews and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Charlene Penney. The funeral will take place in Lee's Summit. The visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 27, at Langsford Funeral Home. The graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Lee's Summit Historical Cemetery. Arr.: Langsford Funeral Home, Lee's Summit, (816) 524-3700.
