Montville - Ellen Ruth Robinson, 50, of Jerome Road, Uncasville, passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2015, at her home.
Ellen was born Nov. 5, 1964, in Norwich, the daughter of Lorenzo and Nancy (Banks) Robinson.
She had worked for the Laborers International Union of North America Local #547 for over 10 years.
Ellen was a very talented artist, who loved to draw and design pottery. She loved nature, reading, and gardening. Her love for animals was a great part of her life, especially rescuing animals. Ellen always reached out to help people who were down and out.
In addition to her parents, Ellen is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Reis; brother, Jeffrey B. Robinson; sister, Laurie J. Festa and Beth E. Mazzarella; grandchildren, Ariana Coons, Aries and Mason Dupont; and by several nieces and nephews.
Ellen was predeceased by her son, Jesse Clayton Robinson and by her brother, Scott Robinson.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the Norwich Alliance Church, 35 Wawecus Hill Road, Norwich. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations in Ellen's memory may be made to Kitty Harbor, 2263 Glasgo Road, Griswold, CT 06351.

my deepest condolences for you Nan & Ren and for the whole family. Loved her dearly and many prayers through the years. Ended up in hospital myself w/ cardiac issues so I missed the service, home today. Beautiful pic and we know she is with JESUS!!

I'm so sorry for the sad events of this past year. Ellen was always a friendly face at family gatherings, and is gone too soon. The family is strong though, and will continue to stand together despite the loss of a loved one. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone, stay strong and have faith God's in control.
