E. Pauline Walters (Daum)
MANSFIELD: E. Pauline Walters (Daum), 90, of Mansfield, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus, May 1, 2015, in Upland, California, after an extended battle with cancer. She was born December 20, 1924 in Butler, Ohio.
Pauline, a devoted wife, mother and elementary teacher, retired in 1989 from the Madison School District. She was active in establishing Woodville Grace Brethren Church, serving as the adult ladies Bible class teacher, deaconess and church organist. For the past 16 -18 years, she had attended Grace Bible Church, Lucas, Ohio; Foothill Bible Church, Upland, California; as well as, Woodville Grace Brethren Church, Mansfield, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Ethel (Berry) Spohn; husband of 51 years, John H. Walters; sisters, Myrna Johnson and D. Jean Gaubatz; and brother, L. Thomas Spohn.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Thomas E. Daum of Upland, California; sister, Phyllis Johnson of Ohio; daughters, Pamela (John) Haller and Judy Herr, both of Ohio; son, Reggie Walters of Ohio; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by step-children, Michael (Sarah) Daum, Steven (Zondra) Daum, Soozie Halterman, and Daniel (Kim) Daum; nine step-grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.
The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 South Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario, OH. The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015, at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Jonathon Herr, with additional visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Grace Bible Church, 67 W. Main St., Lucas, Ohio 44843.
