Lund, Marvin E.

Marvin E. Lund, age 77 of Green Bay died at home with his wife by his side on Saturday, May 2, 2015 after a six year battle with cancer. He was born on May 29, 1937 at Waupaca to the late Alfred and Alice Lund.

Marvin served in the U. S. Air Force for twelve years and after his service he worked as a correctional officer at the Green Bay Correctional Facility until retiring in 1998.

He married Bonnie Younk-Badtke on July 17, 1976.

He and Bonnie enjoyed camping, traveling. Cadillac cars, auctions, especially Massart Auctions and always had a great sense of humor. He was a great husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; two sons: David Badtke, Phoenix, AZ, Gary Badtke, Green Bay, four children in California: Debbie, Dale, Darlene and Donna and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister-in-law: Sandy (Lee) Jewett, Tampa, FL, a grand-dog, Zina He was preceded in death by a sister: Betty Chesna and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Peter and Jean Younk.

Friends may call after Noon on Thursday, May 7 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee until the time of services. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home by Cathy Zeman, Pastoral Minister. Burial with full military rites will be held in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Dr. Winkler, the nurses on sixth and eighth floors of St. Vincent Hospital, the staff of the Dialysis Center and Unity Hospice for all the care and concern that they gave Marvin the past several years.

Bonnie, David and Gary, I am so sorry for your loss. Marv was a wonderful man. I remember when I first met Marv, it was at the truck stop. Wish we could have kept in touch more. God has called another angel to heaven. Prayers and thoughts to all of you.
