It is with the deepest of sadness that I write this. Rich and you had over 40 years of life, creating more memories than one can count. It is my prayer that those memories sustain you through this difficult time. Now that the service is over and everyone has gone home the reality begins to set in for you. You will find your way through this horrible time. Remember to take it one day at a time and on those really bad days, one hour at a time. Although your greatest loss, he will be missed by many, myself included. Love you kid!

Bonnie
This is Neil Jackson once again. I am going to tell you a short and funny story that I recalled after I wrote my first comments.
When President Lyndon B. Johnson met with the USSR's Premier Aleksei Kosygin in June of 1967 on the campus of then Glassboro State College there was limited security and Rich was the one who tested it! He has told me that he was going to take his plane up and get a picture of Marine One with President Johnson. He asked if I wanted to go. I am sorry I did not.
Well when he got up and was nearing the chopper his radio lit up and he was told to get out of the controlled space or he would be forced down. I'm hopeful he told you that little piece of history. We laughed like crazy when he told us what happened. Looking back he was very lucky that he wasn't shot out of the sky being that Kennedy had recently been killed.
Well Rich must have added tjis to his library of funny stories. This is just one that was so crazy and funny that I wanted to share.
Best to you Bonnie. May our paths cross someday soon. My prayers remain with you.

Bonnie,
It has been a rocky road for you and Rich for the past two years. We will miss Rich and his zest for life. He always gave 100% to his endeavors.
Death can only take our mortality, our spirits live within all the hearts we have touched along life's journey. Rich touched many lives, we are thankful that we are included. Rich and you had 40 years of marriage, that is a lot of great memories and love. When the tears and pain have subsided, we hope that all your years together and Rich's spirit will sustain you through the rest of your life's journey.
We wish you and your family peace

If Rich built you a motor - guaranteed it was done right. He did mine in the late 60s. Sorry to hear of his passing . An old friend of his back in the day.

Hello Bonnie, I'm Neil Jackson. I went to school with Rich from Barrington through Haddon Heights. I graduated in 1967 and kept up with him until I relocated with my work to Lynchburg Virginia. I remember his love of flying. He talked about it and many times told us that he would be flying over and we could see him. As your previous writer noted, I knew Rich as a great guy with nice and quick sense of humor. The news tells me to do better in connecting with past friends. I try very hard but I missed reconnecting with Rich and I feel I missed someone who was very special. While I've not met you I want you to know how sorry I am about your loss of Rich at a young age. I had a fight with a rare and incurable cancer over the past 4 years. But by the grace of God, I am here. Stay strong. Rich was a guy who had no trouble finding friends. So I feel certain you will have his friends and family with you. My prayer as I write is for God to give you that sustaining strength and peace. God Bless you Bonnie.

Dear Bonnie
I can't even imagine the depth of your loss. While my heart is filled with sadness, I can't help but think of Richard's bright smile -- and those he brought to others with his quick wit and dry sense of humor. He was a really special man and will be missed.
Our deepest condolences,
Michelle and Bill Hennemann
