St. George, UT

St. George, Utah - George M. Horvath, 86, returned to our Heavenly Father after a hard fought battle with cancer on Sunday May 3, 2015. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. George was born in Tonawanda, New York on April 23, 1929.

He married Hilde Lehr in Germany in 1948 and they had eight children. He was preceded in death by His first wife and his 2 children, Martin and Rosemarie. He is survived by his second wife, Hildy; five children: George (Diane) Horvath, Sylvia (Mark) Jennings, Kari (Chris) Slater, Barbara (Russ) Dunagan and Margarel Kasenberg; two step-children: Kevin (Pauline) Johnson and Jean (Dave) Stewart.

George was a veteran and served his country for 22 years. He was a true patriot and loved his country. The family would like to thank Dixie Regional Medical Center, the Oncology Department and Intermountain Homecare and Hospice for the wonderful care George received..
