Catherine Bradshaw Jones
Enterprise
Catherine Bradshaw Jones, age 83, passed away May 6, 2015 in St. George, Utah. She was born October 24, 1931 in St. George, Utah to John Clarence and Leila Cottam Bradshaw. She married Fred Doyle Jones in the St. George LDS Temple on February 5, 1953.
Catherine was raised in Hurricane, Utah and graduated from Hurricane High School. She spent most of her early life on Smith's Mesa where her father was a farmer. She attended Dixie College and spent time working in Provo before her marriage. She spent her life with Doyle in Enterprise. She loved working in the garden or doing anything outside. To this day, you can still find her on Google Earth walking down Main Street with her walker. She enjoyed camping with her family. Most of her family reunions were camping at Park Mountain and Cedar Mountain. Catherine and Doyle served two missions in the New York, New York South Mission and talked about those great experiences the rest of her life. Catherine served in many church callings and loved working in the Temple with Doyle for several years. Thanks to those who cared for her so lovingly at St. George Rehabilitation/ Kindred Care Center for the last few years.
She is survived by her children: Larry (Rebecca) Jones of LaVerkin, Bradley Fred (Terry) Jones and Marie (Eduardo) Del Aguila of St. George, Gerald Mac (Tammy) Jones and Leo K. Jones of Enterprise, Lora Hampton (daughter-in-law) of Riverton, and Allen Doyle (Carrie) Jones of Spanish Fork; sister, Leora (Wayne) Schiess of Driggs, Idaho; brother, John Clyde (Berniece) Bradshaw of Hurricane; 36 grandchildren;52 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Doyle Jones; daughter, Clarine; son, David Lynn; granddaughter, Jasmine Lynn Del Aguila; and great-granddaughter, Aubrie Raquel Perez.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Enterprise 4th and 5th Ward Chapel, 620 East Main Street, Enterprise, Utah. A visitation will be held Tuesday, prior to services, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow funeral services at the Enterprise City Cemetery. Catherine lived with us while she attended college in St. George. She was a special friend as well as a cousin to this little girl. She wrote a tender message to me in my first autograph book. I loved to visit with my three cousins Hurricane.
