Darrel Suchan, age 53, died May 10, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native Floridian, Darrel was born Sept. 22, 1961, in Tampa, to the late Donald and Gwen (Brandschwede) Suchan. An engineer by trade, he was known by his family and friends as a "Jack of All Trades". Darrel was an accomplished musician, could play a number of instruments and played for worship services at Calvary Chapel, First Baptist Church of Floral City and Cornerstone Baptist Church. He enjoyed the sports of golfing and baseball, was a race car driver and a certified gourmet chef.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 13 years, Debbie Suchan; sons, Darrel Brooks, Ft. Myers and Kyle Brooks, Brooksville; stepson, Cody Biggers of Inverness; his brother, Kurt Suchan, Brandon; sisters, Linda Lenard, Inverness and Tammy (Ron) Gaylord, Ocala; brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Leeanna Gray, Lawrenceville, Georgia; nephews, Chad and Ryan McPherson and Scotty Roush.
A celebration and tribute to Darrel's life will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2015, at Calvary Chapel in Inverness. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.
