PASTOR LYMAN F. ERICKSON, 88 WARSAW, IN - Pastor Lyman F. Erickson, 88, of Warsaw, IN., formerly of Baileyville, IL area, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. Born August 28, 1926, the son of Albin and Winnidell (Drake) Erickson. Lyman was a Pastor of the Baileyville Baptist Church, Maranatha Bible Church, New Kensington, PA., Calvary Baptist Church, Sioux Falls, SD., Bethel Bible Church, Argyle, IA., Aulds Chapel, Monroe, LA., and most recently preached at Grace Village Assisted Living in Winona Lake, Indiana, until August 2014. Lyman also served several years in the Christian Seviceman's Center Ministry in Norfolk, Virginia and San Antonio, Texas. Lyman was a member of the Independent Fundamental Churches of America and The American Legion of Watertown, SD. Pastor Lyman married Beulah Case and later Rosalyn Timblin, both wives preceded him in death. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the Army-Air force. Survivors include his three sons, David Erickson of Baltimore, MD., John (Marcia) Erickson of Warsaw, IN. and Tim (Shelby) Erickson of Mukwonago, WI; two step sons, John (Betty) Engle of PA and Robert Engle of Long Beach, CA; one brother, Robert Erickson of Sioux Falls, SD; one sister, Marilyn Cole of Chicago, IL. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Jonathan Erickson of Indiana, Daniel (Diana) Erickson, both of Illinois, Joseph Erickson of Indiana, Abigail Erickson of Matsumoto, Japan, Hailey Erickson and Blair Erickson, both of Wisconsin. Preceded in death by his parents; two wives; one sister, June Crook; and one brother, Larry Erickson. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015, at the Baileyville Baptist Church. Pastor Charles Replogle will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Burial will be in Cranes Grove Cemetery. Pastor Erickson was the most wonderful minister I have known. He was the one who baptized me and my family. Went to Maranatha Church while he preached. He was definitely a true man of God. He will be missed very much, but we all know that he is with the Lord now. God Bless
