Aug. 11, 1956~May 13, 2015
Residence of Watsonville
Norma Jimenez was granted serenity and exited this world on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Dominican Hospital. She was 58 years old.
Born in Watsonville on August 11, 1956 where she has lived her whole life.
Norma leaves behind her daughters, Patricia Martinez, Amy Jimenez; her son, Douglas Jimenez and son-in-law, Martin Martinez. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Demitrio Navarro, Golliath, Mathyas and Mia Martinez; many siblings, MaryLou Mendoza, Juan Mendoza, Jo Hernandez, Anna Perez, Lisa Vasquez and Albert, Steven, George and Mario Acosta and Tony Morales and many nieces and nephews.
Norma has been a caregiver her whole life, as a childcare provider or caring for others who needed assistance. She will be remembered as someone with a kind heart and a helping hand. She enjoyed reading her mystery books and doing Sudoku.
Norma loved to be with her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and creating many memories with them. If it was going to the pumpkin patch each Fall or picking out Christmas trees during the winter or going on a family vacation; that's when she was at her happiest. She enjoyed her many traditions with them and was always willing to indulge them.
We will miss her and had hoped she would be with us a lot longer but instead she has gone to join her parents and siblings who have been awaiting her arrival up above.
Services will be held on Monday, May 18th at Mehl's Colonial Chapel with visitation from 4pm to 9 pm with a Chapel Blessing service beginning at 6pm. Donations are preferred to the American Red Cross, the chapter of your choice.
