HARLAN — Mark L. May, 66, of Harlan passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015, at the Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born March 26, 1949 in Harlan County, Mark had a daily routine of walking to Harlan and visiting at the courthouse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul C. May and Florence Stapleton May; two brothers, Fred May and Johnny May; three sisters, Gertrude Howard, Betty Jean Honeycutt and Bertha Asher.
Mark is survived by several nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Heather and Seth Carmical, Coldiron and Patty and Richie Carmical, Loyall; and a brother-in-law, R.B. Honeycutt, Rio Vista.
Visitation will be from 10 am until 11:30 am in the Chapel of Harlan Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 11:30 am Saturday, May 16, 2015, in the Chapel of Harlan Funeral Home with Reverend John Lundy and Seth Carmical officiating.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

I am so so sorry for your loss, Mark watched me grow up in Kitts and everytime I seen him he would say "Is tah you lil Helton" May GOD be with his loved ones

I AM SO SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS MARK WAS A PRETTY GOOD PERSON AND WILL BE SADLY MISSED IF I'D KNEW HE HAD PASSED I WOULD HAVE CAME AND SEEN HIM I KNEW MARK MOST OF MY LIFE I GREW UP IN KITTS AND MARK WOULD ALWAYS MAKE YOU LAUGH. AND AGAIN SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WILL BE IN MY HEART AND PRAYERS GOD BLESS
