DONALD F. LONGAMORE SR., 81 BAILEYVILLE - Donald F. Longamore Sr., 81, of Baileyville, died Wednesday, May 13th, 2015, at the Madison V.A. hospital. Born September 26, 1933, in Freeport, IL, son of Bud and Alta (Bingner) Longamore. Donald worked for Micro-Switch Honeywell and was a tool and die maker. He married Bonnie Jean Orr on May 17, 1958, in Freeport. She died August 18, 2004. Donald served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He enjoyed hunting, being a handyman, fishing, animals, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and was an avid Forreston Cardinal fan. Survivors include two sons, Donald (Angela) Longamore Jr. of Orangeville and Curtis Longamore of Chicago; three daughters, Delene (Daryl) Tessmann of Freeport, Colene (George) Siegmeier of German Valley and Cara (Steven) Hoffman of Pecatonica; two sisters, Helen (LeRoy) Thorn of Freeport and Della Kirkpatrick of Freeport; 13 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeremy and Joshua Longamore, Carly (Ryan) Taylor, Jonathon Tessmann, Pierce, Jacinta and Savannah Longamore, Nicholas (Tasha) Siegmeier, Bryce (Kayla) Siegmeier, Zoe Siegmeier, Kerigen and Zayne Hoffman; also two great-grandchildren, Carson Siegmeier and Raena Siegmeier. Preceded in death by parents, wife, and one brother, Dale. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Chapel of Peace, Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Chapel of Peace. A memorial has been established in his name. Visit the guest book at burketubbs.com.

I am sorry to hear of Don's passing. I knew him from the Van Brocklin area where we both grew up.
