Janet H. Tracy, 69, of Dallas passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015, after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Union City, N.J., daughter of the late Arne and Agnes Bonefond Johannessen.
Janet was retired from Diamond Market, Shavertown.
Some of her favorite pastimes were reading, puzzles, board games and cookouts with her family. She was always there to help her family whenever needed.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, and brother, Arne Johannessen.
Surviving are her daughters, Michelle Bennett, Montana; Laura Davis and her husband, Scott, Dallas; Denise Tracy, Dallas; and Deborah Tracy, Hazleton; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and brother, Chester Cosgrave and his wife, Joyce, New Jersey.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with the Rev. Robert Wood officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you in your time of grief. Although I only met Janet a few times she always welcomed me with a smile into her home. Peace is finally hers.
