1993 - 2015 Joshua Moreaux, 22, of Beaumont, passed away on May 16, 2015, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church, 10169 Hwy. 69, Port Arthur, Texas 77640. Officiating will be Pastor M.L. Phillips, pastor of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Vidor. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015, with a time of sharing beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Joshua was born on April 5, 1993, in Beaumont, Texas to Otis Joseph Moreaux and Cheryl Ann Morris Moreaux. He was the sixth child of nine. At an early age, he was the designated family mediator. In 2004, he was baptized and received the Holy Ghost. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 2011. He immediately sacrificed his will and plans for a college education to help with the family business. In the name of family, he relieved his mother by learning the various aspects of the business that included: dispatching, invoicing, banking and payroll often times without compensation. Selfless...always willing to help in anyway...loved his family till the end. He was a faithful, active member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Vidor. He was in attendance for every service. He participated in any skits or programs. He served in any capacity as his pastor requested. He was a church drummer, sang in the choir and later taught himself to play the bass. He was even a member of the Moreaux Quartet as the bass singer. He loved family times of four wheeling, back-yard barbecues, skiing, road trips and late night jam sessions. He fostered many relationships over the years. He always met and made a friend - never met a stranger and had a smile that would light up any room. He was mild mannered and his spirit connected with others without even a word being said. He was faithful, loyal and truly a man after God's own heart. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence Moreaux, Sr. and Lorna Pete Moreaux. He is survived by his parents, Cheryl and Otis Moreaux, Sr. of Orange; siblings, Ella Moreaux-Bourgeois and husband, Quentin of Baytown, Otis R. Moreaux of Beaumont, Lawrence Moreaux IV and wife, Shunte of Houston, Otis Joseph Moreaux, Jr. and wife, Maelishia of Houston, Daniel Moreaux and wife, Macy of Beaumont, Rachel Moreaux of Orange, Rebekah Moreaux of Orange, and Joel Moreaux of Orange; grandparents, Joseph Dudley Morris, Sr. of Beaumont and Elizabeth Harmon Citizen of Beaumont and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Lawrence Moreaux IV, Otis R. Moreaux, Otis Joseph Moreaux, Jr., Daniel Moreaux, Joel Moreaux, Jaylon Moreaux and Christian Hockless. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Hardy, Archie Holleman, Caleb Callahan, Miles Hammer, Joseph Gibson, Josiah Phares, Richard Moreaux, Joseph Dudley Morris, Jr., Dana A. Never had the pleasure of meeting Joshua. But I know he was very special because my husband (Willie Pickens) spoke highly of him. It seems as though he has touched so many peoples lives and thats a true blessing. Prayers going out to the Moreaux family.
