God needed an Angel and on Friday, May 15, 2015 Dorothy Mildred Smith Lee, known as "Doll" to many was born January 30, 1920 in New Orleans, Louisiana, transitioned from time to eternity. She was the eldest of ten children to the late Thornton and Beatrice (Lewis) Smith. Educated in New Orleans Public Schools and worked as a beautician and homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memory, Children: Nathaniel Lee (Enola), Rev. Leonard Lee (Shon), Gerald Lee (Clara), Rose (Lee) Huntley, Thaddeus Lee, Jr. (Lenita); Grandchildren (25): Malcolm Lee, Jr., Marvin Lee, Ericka (Lee) Williams, Derek Lee, Victoria (Lee) Wash, Kina Lee, Kamille (Lee) Thomas, Ta (Lee) Gordon, Tanisha Lee, Leonard Quincy Lee, Sr., Yohance Lee, Mia Lee, Yahleesa (Lee) Jackson, Gerald Lee, Jr., Quinn Huntley, Kanika (Huntley) Simmons, Derrick Huntley, Ivy (Huntley) Johnson, Theo Huntley, Ronya (LaFrance) Albert, Kerwin LaFrance, Thaddeus Lee, III, Tramaine Lee-Lewis, Travis Lee, Tracci Lee; Fifty-four (54) Great-Grandchildren; Four (4) Great-Great Grandchildren; Brother, James Smith; Daughters-in-law: Josie Lee, Geraldine Lee, and Brenda Wilson. Relatives, friends of the family, and churches are invited to attend the services at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 1437 Caffin Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70117 on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00 am; Interment: Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Highway, Metairie, Louisiana 70003. Arrangements by D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave. New Orleans, Louisiana. Viewing from 8:30- 10:00 am.
