Shefchek, James R.
James R. Shefchek, age 78 of Kewaunee died suddenly on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Aurora Baycare Medical Center. He was born on January 31, 1937 in Manitowoc to the late Bert and Eleanor (Hanek) Shefchek.
He graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1954. He married Gail Musil June 10, 1954.
Jim worked for Kewaunee Bottling works for twenty-three years. He then started working for Old Dutch Foods until the present. He was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Church. He loved attending and participating in baseball, bowling, hunting, fishing and playing cards.
Survivors include Gail, his wife of sixty-one years; his children: Becky (Mark) Chaudoir; Vicky (Dick) Romsos; Brenda (Warren) Swintosky; Lisa (Jim) Schaller; Michael (Cheryl) Shefchek; Katie Shefchek; Ann (John) Tess all of Kewaunee; Jim (Sandy) Shefchek; Paul Shefchek of Green Bay; Amy (Jeff) Pearson, Luxemburg; grandchildren: Stacy, David (Kristen), Nicole, Richard (Heather), Chelle (Jeff), Jessup (Jenny), Jeremy (Abby), Jason (Nikki), Rory, Marisa, Justin (Dee), Amber (Chris), Brooke, Derek, Jacob (Rachel), Taylor, Bruce (Shannon), Amanda, Melissa (Aren), Shannon, great grandchildren Paxton, Katlin, Abigail, Chase, Courtney, Caleb, Peyton, Logan, Clara, Savannah, Ethan, Mila, Kayden; sisters-in-law: Lorraine Shefchek, Two Creeks; Renee (Mike) Priebe, Suamico; Mary Musil, Appleton. He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas; son-in-law, Dale Schlies; brother: Bert Shefchek; JoAnn (Donald) Anderle; brother-in-law, James Musil.
Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Church, Kewaunee until the time of services. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Fr. James Dillenberg. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
