Ann Patricia Miller
St. Clair
Ann Patricia Miller, age 81, (previously of Empire and Redford, Michigan), passed away at home on Sunday, May 24. She was born June 15, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Patrick and Margaret McGhee. She was married to James Miller on November 23, 1953. Jim preceded her in death. Ann and Jim spent their lives devoted to each other. Together they were the most loving couple and tireless volunteers, charter members of Leukemia Research Life, Civitan, Fostering 20 infants thru Catholic social services, Food Coalition, Traverse City Womens Resource Center, Habitat for Humanity, Lions, and many others. Ann also amazingly worked full time for Michigan Bell retiring after 30 years of service and also wrote poetry.
They also raised four children of their own: The late John M. Miller, Betty A. (Donald) Fryer, James A. (Connie) Miller, Carol A. (Patrick) Rachoza. Eight grandchildren: Jame (Jessica) Miller, Adam (Jessica Hicks) Miller, Christopher (Shannon) Fryer, Scott (Heather) Fryer, Karen (Chris Anders) Rachoza, Jamie (James) Saucedo, Alan Wagner, and Sarah Miller. Also special adopted grandson, Matthew Soucy. Six great-grandchildren; Alexis Miller, Greyson Fryer, Sterling Fryer, Fiona Saucedo, Graham Fryer, and Clifford Miller. Her faithful companion; Maggie (Magnolia) Miller. Sainthood is recommeded.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5 at First United Methodist Church, St.Clair. A memorial gathering will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Cremation arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to; Traverse City Womens Resource Center, St.Clair First United Methodist Church or Reverence Hospice.

I was the last of the 20 foster children. over 30 years later she and the miller family still hold a place in my heart. A caring and wonderful lady.may you rest in peace.
