(Bateman) Case, Doris Maeof Whitehall, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2015. She was the wife of Carl E. Case, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late John and Mildred (Heimbach) Bateman. Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a lifelong member of St. John's UCC Fullerton. Doris was a 1949 graduate of Whitehall High School, who enjoyed entertaining her family, especially at Christmas, Easter, and on annual trips to Knoebels. Survivors: beside her husband Carl: sons Carl Jr. (Ruth), Jon (Barbara), Mark (Nancy), Eric (Kelly) and daughter Cheryl Mill (Robert); grandchildren Carl III, Kimberly, Evan, Adam, Matthew, Sara, Amy, Elizabeth, Aaron, Andrew, Josh, Patrick, Michael, Daniel and Jennifer, along with nine great grandchildren; brother Richard Bateman; nieces, nephews and their families; she was predeceased by sister June Glaze and brother Jack Bateman. Services: 11:00 am Friday June 19, 2015 in St. John's UCC Fullerton, 575 Grape Street, Whitehall, PA 18052 with Rev. Dr. Becky J. Beckwith officiating. Visitation with her family will begin at 9:00 am in the Church Parlor. Interment private. Gilbert Funeral Home of Whitehall is honored to handle her arrangements. Carl and family, I feel like I know your whole family so well. Doris was such a devoted wife, mom and grandmother. She and I had many many good talks when she came to get her hair done every Friday....I will miss her. My deepest sympathy to all of you.
