Isiah "Porkchop" August Berry, Sr. departed this life on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the age of 72. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Beloved husband of Yvonne Ross Berry. Devoted father of Isiah (Trenisha) Berry, Jr., and Travis (Monique) Berry, Sr. Grandfather of Travis, Jr., Jade, Jordan and Nia Berry and DeMajah Johnson. Son of the late Rousell, Sr. and Lucille Franklin Berry. Brother of Rousell Berry, Jr., Joseph Berry, Sr. and the late Della Ross, Yvonne Riley, Ruth Price, Leontine Ellison and Ivory Berry, Sr. Nephew of Octave Franklin, Sr.; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of L. B. Landry Class of 1962; employees of Bayou Barriere Country Club, Army Corp of Engineers, Sewage and Water Board, Federal Reserve Bank of New Orleans and Walgreens are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Baptist Church, 2836 Sullen Place New Orleans, LA on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Taza Green, Sr. and Pastor Haywood Johnson, officiating. Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m.-9:50a.m. ONLY at the above named church. Porkchop was loved by many and will truely be missed. I would like my family to know that the lost is being felt here in Shreveport just as hard as it is being felt in New Orleanas. We up north will continue to keep the family lifted in prayer. We love you all.
