Alan Airington passed away peacefully on June 15, 2015 after a long struggle with illness. The family was at his bedside at the Kansas City VA hospital (where he received the best of care). He was preceded in death by his mother Beulah Bryant and father "Daddy Gene". He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis Mimran, brother Donald D (Sharon), children: Cathy (Paul) Smallwood, Claudia (Neil) Meyers, and Alan, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Burial will be on Thursday, June 25, 11 AM at the Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri.
