Chester Richardson Obituary

MOULTONBOROUGH - Chester "Chet" Lionel Richardson, 88, of Bean Road, died Monday, June 29, 2015.

Born in Dover, N.H. on September 19, 1926, son of Fred and Lillian (Spurling) Richardson. He graduated from Dover High School before enlisting in the US Army. He served as a staff sergeant in the N.Y. 27th Yankee Division, 1st Cavalry Division and 7th Cavalry Regiment, stationed in Tokyo Japan until returning home in 1946.

He worked for the U.S postal service until retirement. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his dogs. He was a lifetime member of the Dover Elks and the American Legion. He was inducted into the Dover Sports Hall of Fame.

He leaves behind his wife Jeannette (Bedard) of 65 years as well as their ten children. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Randy.

Visitation will be held at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave Dover, N.H. on Thursday July 2nd from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Central N.H. VNA & Hospice, 780 North Main Street, Laconia N.H. 03246.
