XENIA - Warren Russ Kearney 87 years old of Dayton, Ohio formerly of Xenia, Ohio went home to be with the Lord July 6, 2015. Passing away at Southview Hospital after a total of 4 years in and out of both Southview and Grandview Hospitals having one health issue after another. He was born March 28, 1928 at the home of his parents Ralph and Hazel (Blackburn) Kearney. Along with his parents Warren is preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Jean Kearney; brothers: Bill, Ralph, Dave and Fred Kearney. Warren is survived by a brother: Don Kearney; sister: Judith Flynn; children: Warren Kearney Jr., Linda Compton, Philip Kearney, Lisa Flores and Lois Gwin along with many other grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was an avid bowler, he videotaped for Gospel TV at the Coming Together Center, worked at Top Flight which is a competition offering scholarships to young Christian Musicians. Warren was also retired from General Motors with 30 years of service. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday July 11, 2015. Family will receive friends Saturday July 11, 2015 from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow the service at Valley View Memorial Gardens Xenia, Ohio. May God Bless you and your family in your time of sorrow. Warren touched so many lives with his sweet,gentle nature. I will miss him. I know that the sun is shinning in heaven and Warren has his Angel wings. He will be with you always.
