Linden Orville Allen, 74, passed away on Saturday July 11, 2015 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Linden was born on April 29, 1941 in Blanchard, Michigan to Blandford and Ruby(Wyrick) Allen. He worked as a HVAC Technician for the State of Michigan at the Capital Building. He then moved to his dream job mowing lawns at Michigan State University. Linden was married on October 22, 2005 in Morrice, MI. to Florence Marie Kryglowski. The couple moved from Perry to Houghton Lake five years ago.
Surviving Mr. Allen are his wife Florence Marie Allen of Houghton Lake; daughter, Penny (Tim) Cook of Freeland, MI; grandchildren, Anthony Cook and Betsy Cook; 4 step children; sisters, Mable Harshman, Vivian (Smoke) Landes, Erma Kutchinski, Ruth Fuss, Barbara(Keith) Ward, Joan Hopkins, and Audrey Putnum; brother, George (Carol) Allen; and several nieces and nephews. Linden was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Margaret "Pat" (Taylor) Allen, son, William "Bill" Allen, brothers, Marvin Allen, and Harold Allen, sisters, Evelyn Eckert, and Betty Moore.
Mass of Christian Burial for Linden Orville Allen will be conducted at 11:00am Thursday July 16, 2015 from St. James Catholic Church, Houghton Lake with Fr. Bernard Tyler officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 15, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Christler Funeral Home Prudenville Chapel. Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
