Joyce Webb of Beaumont passed peacefully from this life into God’s Eternity at the age of 90. She was born November 23, 1924 in Beaumont, Texas to Elvige and Arthur Prevost. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Webb, brothers, Wilkes, Clyde, Murray, and Malcolm Prevost. Joyce is survived by her sisters, Verneice Davis and husband Howard of Seabrook, Janelle Sharp and husband George Rhea of Beaumont, brother Ed Prevost and wife Linda of Floresville, Texas, sisters-in-law, Billie Prevost of Pasadena, Texas, Maudell Whitfield of Beaumont, and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce graduated from Beaumont High School in 1942. She worked for Southwestern Bell and retired after forty years.
Joyce lived a full and rich life. She and her husband traveled to many interesting places. She was a talented artist and was famous for her beautiful Bluebonnet paintings. Joyce and James owned a beach cabin for several years and spent many happy hours fishing and entertaining family and friends at the beach. Joyce and her husband were faithful members of North End Baptist Church. A special note of appreciation goes to Barbara Harrison for the loving care she provided to Joyce in her final days. Her tender care, compassion, and prayers will always be remembered and appreciated by the family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 16, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Friday July 17, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Serving as pallbearers will be Rudy Prevost, Gary Prevost, Don Parnel, John Vest, Johnny Haskett, and Kevin Prevost. Honorary pallbearers are Darrell Prevost and Russell Prevost.
