Erwin Alois Truch
Erwin Alois Truch, age 92, died peacefully at home on Monday, July 20, 2015. He was born on June 13, 1923 in Hindenburg, Germany to Johann and Gertud Truch, the only son of five children.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Maria (Keden) Truch; one granddaughter, Michelle and one great-grandson, Ryan Truch; five step-sons: Mike (JoAnne) Anthony, David (Cathy) Anthony, Donald (Melissa) Anthony all of Battle Creek, Jurgen (Sonia) Jung and Klaus (Ingrid) Seipel of Germany; one step-daughter: Peggy Anthony (William) Bierce of Florida; twenty grandchildren and twenty nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Erna (Holzschuh) Truch and two sons: Michael and Dieter.
He was a World War II veteran, loving spouse, father and step-father. He was a master tool and die craftsman who worked for Clark Equipment for over twenty years.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Hospice Care. Arrangements by the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. www.henryfuneralhome.org
