Marion G. (Pattison) Galvin, 98, formerly of West Springfield died July 5, 2015 at a Hospice facility in Phoenix. Marion was born in Agawam and lived in West Springfield most of her life. She was a 1937 graduate of West Springfield High School and has lived in the Phoenix area for the past 5 years. She worked in the Central Supply Department for Baystate Medical Center for 23 years and was a longtime member of the Mittineague Congregational Church. Her husband Daniel J. Galvin died in 1957. She leaves a son Daniel of Scottsdale, AZ; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Marion I. Richey, and a great grandson Carlos Diaz. She is survived by her brother William Pattison. A private graveside service will be held in St. Thomas Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.

I worked with Marion in CSR @ Springfield Hospital..I was just a teenager. Fond memories of how feisty and quick on her feet she was :) "Hey kid could you reach that for me" Rest in Peace Marion, I always remembered you.

I have happy memories of Aunt Marion, especially when we were backyard neighbors in West Side. She is in my prayers with the hope that she has joined the rest of our family who've gone before us. Rest in peace Aunt Marion.
