Sorry to hear about a hero gone home to be with the Lord. I'm so glad I've met my cousin at the Handy Robins family reunion. He was a very intelligent man. He was proud of his family. I just looked at a family reunion Video of 2000 and saw him. Called Marion and asked about him. Lord, please give the Spears family strength to carry on. Watch over them each and everyday. From Henry Robins, son of William Robins, grandson of Hezekiah Robins, great grandson of Willie Robins and the great great grandson of Handy Robins.

My condolenses to:
Geraldine Spears and the entire Spears Family. It was a pleasure to have known Preston Spears. He had a great sense of humor and made an impact on lives. That's always a plus.
Know Mrs. Spears that earth really does have no sorrows that heave really can not heal.
Continue to look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Know that your healing is in the Lord. Hold on to your memories for they will never fade away.
And keep your hands in God's unchaging hands for it is he who will never leave us nor forsake us.
God keep you and your family always.
With love,
Minister Deanie J Mack

I am so very sorry to hear the passing of Mr. Spears. I am proud to say he was one of my teachers at Haynes Jr High. He was an amazing teacher, and had positive impact on everyone who met him. I still remember his classes, now over 30 years later. He was a terrific person, and will be surely missed by all of us. As a fellow military veteran myself, I thank him for his service to our nation. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family, especially Mrs. Geraldine, Bruce & Cynthia in this time of great loss. May the Good Lord comfort you

I was a student of Mr. Spears back in the 80's days of Haynes. He was an incredible teacher and definitely left an impression on all that knew him. He was a wonderful man and anyone who knew him or was taught by him can attest to the fact that he was one of the best. Rest in Peace Mr. Spears. God Bless the Spears family.
