My thoughts are with all of my old neighborhood friends. Your mom was such a welcoming woman, and always made me feel as if I was a part of your family. May she rest in peace, having lived such a full life. I hope that all of our folks will see each other in the great beyond, it was quite a neighborhood for all of us to have grown up in, thanks to wonderful people like Maxine.

Em, John, Cathy, Margaret and Joe-
What can be said? We have such wonderful memories of our youth growing up in the neighborhood in large part because of your Mom. I'm sad for her passing but oh so rich for having known her and your whole family. Will especially remember her laugh and her ability to say what needed to be said.
She will be forever in our hearts. Love and Prayers to all....

My Aunt Max was a bold, beautiful, strong women who I looked up to always, beginning in my early years. Our families were neighbors and very close- and we were together constantly, Emily being my best friend.
My parents and Tony and Max (and families) initiated the game of Twister in the neighborhood, with lots of music- Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass (I'm dating myself now!!) Lots of time in the pool and the annual Golf Tournament/Clam Bake on Labor Day Weekend- trophy and all- Those were the days!!!
I remember Maxine~tall, gracious, always wearing red lipstick. She had a "gravely" voice and used it often to express her opinions! Often seen with a cigarette and a Martini , she was the epitome of a classy lady.
Will miss you and my thougths are with the family. Sending love. Susan Crane Casterline.

My best to the entire clan. Great memories of your mother holding down the fort on Eden Lane many years ago. She made people welcome in her home. Passing of a great generation, against which we all pale in comparison. In days to come, and thereafter, celebrate your Mom's achievements.
