KINGS MOUNTAIN – James Lamar "Fletch" Fletcher, 50, resident of 1005 Ramseur St. Kings Mountain, NC went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2015 at Carolina Healthcare System; Cleveland, Shelby, NC He was born in Cleveland Co. NC.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Kenneth Fletcher.
Fletch was employed in the textile industry and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an avid Nascar and Dallas Cowboys fan.
Survivors include his wife of six years, Mary Carpenter Fletcher, of Kings Mountain; parents, Lamar Fletcher and Nannie Ingle Fletcher, of Kings Mountain; son, James Wesley Fletcher, of Kings Mountain; daughters, Jada Viars and husband Doug, of Kings Mountain and Tiffany Fletcher, of Kings Mountain; step-Children, Dovie Postell, Daniel Anderson, and Crystal Anderson, brothers, Timothy Edward Fletch-er and George Michael Fletcher, both of Kings Mountain and two grandchildren, Layla Addison Fletcher and Elizabeth Aryn Postell.
A funeral service will be at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, July 28 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Doug Allen, officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 27, at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC and other times at the home, 1005 Ramseur Street, Kings Mountain, NC 28086
Interment will be at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Research, 6000 Fairview Road, #305 Charlotte, NC 28210 or Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150

im so sorry to hear this i worked with fletcher at pharr and I talked to him a lot and had a lot of fun picking on him and he was fun to be around. mary hold ur head up hes not gone the flush is but not him jada u to hold ur head up

Wow. I have known Fletcher for many years he was a good man. He was more of a Dallas Cowboys fan then I ever knew before. Fletch was hilarious. I dated his step daughter for awhile. Fletcher was a good man and it's hard to say goodbye. Fletcher my man, show em up there just what kind of party animal you can be. You will be missed.
