William Arthur "Bill" Whitehurst
TARBORO William Arthur "Bill" Whitehurst, 77, went home on Wednesday, July 29, 2015.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM at Conetoe United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jesse Blalock officiating. Burial will follow in the Conetoe United Methodist Cemetery.
He is the son of the late Harvey Whitehurst and Thelma Bryant. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth B. Whitehurst.
William is survived by his loving family which includes his Wife of 57 years, Shirley Morris Whitehurst; Daughters, Shelby Gardner and husband, William, Karen Speight and husband, William"Bud", of Tarboro, Billie Whitehurst of Macclesfield; Son, William Arthur "Art" Whitehurst and wife, Stacy, of Tarboro; Brother, Philip Whitehurst of Yorktown, Va., David Whitehurst and wife, Tina, of Bethel; Sister, Mamie Morris and husband, Larry, of Tarboro; Grandsons, Zach Speight, John Ashley Whitehurst and Hunter Whitehurst; Granddaughters, Grace, Abby, Whitney, Heather and Ashley Whitehurst, Brittany Gardner and fiance;, Aaron Zacks, Emily G. Darke and husband, Brad. Great-grandsons, Caleb Dunaway, Trevor and Greyson Turner.
The family will receive friends and family from 2:00-3:00 PM at Conetoe United Methodist Church on Sunday and other times at the home, 3014 Chinquapin Rd. Tarboro.
