Bentz, Audrey F. SHEBOYGAN, Wis. Audrey F. Bentz, 89, of Westmere, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2015, with her daughters by her side. Audrey was born in Schenectady on April 26, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Mabel R. (Shaver) Fitzpatrick. She lived in Schenectady from 1926 to 1930, and then moved to Albany. She was dedicated at three days old by Mabel Vreeland and baptized in 1936 at 10 years old by Elder Cardy. She went to school in McKownville, then School 27 through sixth grade, then seventh back to McKownville. She began nursing school at Child's Hospital one week before her 18th birthday and graduated as a PN in January 1946. She worked as a nanny then worked at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Brady Farrell Maternity Hospital, then at St. Peter's Hospital as a childcare technician for many years, retiring in 1976. In addition to her parents, Audrey was predeceased by her husband of over 51 years, Peter J. Bentz and her brother, Charles Fitzpatrick. Audrey is survived by her loving daughters, Judith (Wayne Sr.) Eells of Westmere and Patricia (John) Harrison of Sheboygan; her cherished grandchildren, Wayne (Jennifer) Eells Jr., Christopher (Buffy) Eells, Joseph (Margaret) Harrison, Kate (Jonathan) Belval, Michael (Aimee) Harrison; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Justin Eells, Joshua Eells, Michaela Eells, Natalie Eells, Riley Eells, Logan Schroeter, Zoe and Dominic Schroeter, Levi Harrison, Jude Harrison, Nolan Belval, Meadow Harrison and baby Harrison. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the Greater Albany Seventh-day Adventist Church.
