COOPER
Grace - the marvel passed from this earth. She follows her husband of 77 years, John E., her beloved "Jack." Born on July 17, 1914, the daughter of Florence Waide and Robert T. Roe, in Jersey City, N.J., she was 101. She attended the Academy of Holy Angels, then in Ft. Lee, N.J., center on its basketball team and later eldest living alumna, graduating with the class of 1932. Ever the "artist" in life, she served goodness and beauty in all ways surrounding her, as a figure of strength beside the strength of her husband, the heart of a family, and care within the community. She is survived by her sons, Robert Waide of Bluffon, S.C., and John E. Jr., of New York. Her daughter Joan Denu predeceased her in 2011. She leaves 8 grandchildren, Jacqueline Denu of Rifton, NY, Cynthia Denu-Ciocca of Chapel Hill, NC, Kimberly Winkler of Frederick, MD, Mark Denu of Newtown, Courtney Farina of Olmsted, OH, Robert Waide Cooper, Jr., of Phoenix, AZ, Brita and Lucian Cooper of NY, and 14 great-grandchildren, Sophia, and Henry, Luke, Michael, Jack and Gabrielle, Sydney, Hayley and Andrew, Sarah and Emma, Hudson and Piper, and Annabel.
